  2. I. Introduction:
  3.  
  4.    The PCB PRO-BOARD demo disks come with the following files:
  5.  
  6.    * Demo:       This is a full feature PRO-NET with the following
  7.                  limitations:
  8.  
  9.                  ** no print, pen plot and photo plot operations.
  10.                  ** The maximum number of component, trace, via, library
  11.                     and so on are limited.
  12.  
  13.    * Proboard.feature: Description of PRO-BOARD commands and features.
  14.  
  15.    * Autopcb:   This is a Auto_Run program which will show you all the key
  16.                 features of PRO-BOARD.  This program will sequence through
  17.                 three major steps:
  18.  
  19.                 ** Basic: Autopcb will walk through all major features
  20.                           without taking any actions.
  21.                 ** Intermediate: Autopcb will show some basic operations
  22.                           such as device placement, call out library parts,
  23.                           rotate device, etc.
  24.                 ** Advance: Finally, Autopcb will show a full feature
  25.                           operation with such actions as route traces
  26.                           according to guide lines, auto layer flipping when
  27.                           a via is added, fully automated layer selection
  28.                           and so on.
  29.                           This is not a simulated demonstration. We actually
  30.                           recorded all the actions a design engineer did
  31.                           while he was designing a PCB. This included mistakes
  32.                           he made and detected by PRO-BOARD, also the
  33.                           necessary steps he took in order to correct them.
  34.  
  35.    * board :   The data directory of the PRO-BOARD's databases.
  36.  
  37.    * filib :   Device foot print library.
  38.  
  39.    * fiind :   The directory of the foot print library.
  40.  
  41.    * pcb.conf: Configuration record file.
  42.  
  43.    * frull :   The directory of PCB design rule.
  44.  
  45.    * pndemo.net : The net list file used in this Demo PCB.

  47.    * demofi :     Demo PCB data file.
  48.  
  49.    To ensure the operation of the demo program, you should not directly
  50.    modify and/or rearrange any of these files.
  51.  
  52. II. Running the demo program:
  53.  
  54.     ** Note: The Autopcb has to be in drive DF0: in order to run properly.
  55.              This restriction, of course, does not apply to the real one or
  56.              the Demo program.
  57.  
  58.     A. Autopcb:
  59.  
  60.        * In Workbench environment:
  61.  
  62.             . Boot up with the Workbench disk.
  63.             . Insert Proboard.Demo disk into drive DF0:
  64.             . Double click on the disk icon.
  65.             . Double click on the Autopcb icon.
  66.  
  67.          While Autopcb is running, you can:
  68.  
  69.             . Hit space bar to freeze the demo program. Hit space bar again
  70.               to continue.
  71.             . Hit ^C key to exit Autopcb.  This will bring you back to the
  72.               Workbench screen.

  74.        * In CLI environment:
  75.  
  76.             . Open the CLI window.
  77.             . With the Proboard.Demo disk in drive DF0:, type df0:Autopcb.

  79.          The space bar and the ^C keys also work in this mode.

  81.     B. Demo:
  82.  
  83.        The Demo gives you full control of all the operations including
  84.        save and post-processing with some limitations mentioned above.  The
  85.        Demo program can be started the same ways as described above.

  87.        WARNING:
  88.  
  89.        This program should be run on a copy, not the original disk. Since
  90.        Demo allows you to modify schematic files, it may
  91.        interfere with the Autopcb program; which runs on a prerecorded
  92.        sequence and, therefore, expects data in a certain ways.
